Sunset

I found a fish called "Hokke." It was popular fish in Hokkaido in Japan where I came from. I am not sure What is the fish name in English. I think it is mackerel family. Anyway, I don't see it in market often. So, I bought a pack of Hokke. There are two of them in the pack. However, it was smells bad when I started cooking. It was not fresh. As a matter of fact, it was almost spoiled. But I hated to waste food so, I cooked and ate for lunch. It was smells bad but I thought taste was almost a OK. I finished it.

Yosemite Valley

I have been painting Yosemite landscapes. I like to paint them as much as possible before I go to Yosemite end of this month. I will have a place to exhibit my artworks at Yosemite Art Center. I like to take full advantage of this opportunity. I have less than two weeks to prepare new paintings for this. So, I am keeping myself busy until that time.

Into Yosemite Valley

After I went through the tunnel of Yosemite South gate 30 years ago, the first scene I saw was this. It's perfect landscape, I don't want pain it. Do you understand what I am saying? I can't create any thing from the perfect. That's what I felt when I saw this first time. So, I took 30 years to ready to paint this scene.

Sunrise in Yosemite Valley

One of students of watercolor class leaves to Japan end of this month. She said "My husband and I return to my home town and become a farmer." "That cool!"I said.  I came from farmer's family and I don't want to be a farmer again. However, I have to admit that I hear a lot of city young people have dream like that. As a matter of fact, the small town in Hokkaido where I was bone and raised bustle with such people. Not only the people from big city of Japan but from foreign countries such as Australia. They love snow country. I should say, this is a new phenomenon. All I can say is "wow!!"
